Recordati has entered into a new long‑term exclusive distribution agreement with the Swedish probiotics firm BioGaia for the Spanish and Portuguese markets. The deal builds on an existing partnership that spans Spain, Portugal and Italy, and it extends the relationship to the Iberian Peninsula in a formalized, long‑term arrangement.
Under the agreement, BioGaia’s probiotic products will be distributed in Spain through Casen Recordati and in Portugal through Jaba Recordati. The collaboration is positioned to strengthen BioGaia’s presence in markets where consumer awareness of probiotics and demand for scientifically backed health solutions is rising.
Recordati, an international pharmaceutical group with a broad presence in specialty and primary care, will provide its established local expertise and distribution networks to support the development and expansion of BioGaia’s portfolio in these regions. The announcement reflects a continued commitment by both companies to broaden access to probiotic offerings and to foster growth within the Iberian market.
