Ondas Inc. has announced that its subsidiary Cyberhawk has secured a new multi‑year agreement with SSE plc to provide drone‑based inspection and surveying services across the company’s UK transmission and distribution networks. The contract, extending for three years with an option for a further two, follows a decade‑long relationship in which Cyberhawk has deployed autonomous aircraft to monitor and maintain critical electricity infrastructure. In addition to onshore assets, the deal now includes offshore wind turbine inspections, broadening the scope of the partnership into SSE’s renewable generation portfolio.
The agreement also incorporates a renewal of a multi‑year service for iHawk as a Service, a digital asset‑intelligence platform that aggregates imagery, geospatial data and AI‑driven analytics to support risk prioritisation and operational decision making. SSE has positioned itself as a forward‑looking operator, and its investment plans for future infrastructure projects reinforce the relevance of integrated inspection and data‑management solutions.
Meanwhile, a separate financial analysis noted that a hypothetical investment in SSE shares five years ago would have yielded a noticeable increase in value, reflecting the company’s performance over that period. The report highlighted that, since its listing on the London Stock Exchange, SSE’s market valuation has grown, underscoring the long‑term appreciation of its equity.
These developments suggest a continuing focus by SSE plc on leveraging advanced technologies to enhance the reliability and efficiency of its energy network, while also demonstrating the broader appeal of its shares to investors.
